Canteen Host
The canteen server provides refreshments to the donors following their donation and makes them feel good about what they've done. Canteen servers talk to donors and report to Red Cross staff if a donor shows signs of not feeling well. They also provide recognition for donors that have reached a donation milestone. It is important that they promote a positive, long-lasting impression of the Red Cross. Positions available at both mobile blood drives and our downtown and East End collection facilities.
Administrative Assistant
The administrative assistant supports various departments and programs through clerical support, data entry and receptionist responsibilities.
Warehouse Assistant
The warehouse assistant supports our donor representatives and their outreach efforts. The assistant aids in creating an inventory of our promotional materials, organizaing and arranging storage space and moving boxes as necessary. Computer skills are beneficial, but not neccessary. The ability to lift 30-40 pounds is required.
Driver
Drivers serve the Red Cross by transporting blood, plasma, and platelets to our hospital partners from our downtown center. Red Cross vehicles and cell phones are provided to volunteer drivers, and a current driver's license is required. Both local routes and regional runs are available. One day of regulatory training is required.
Greeter
Greeters assist the Red Cross by welcoming blood donors to the blood drive and assisting with the registration process. Since the position is the first human contact many blood donors have with the Red Cross, the volunteer should be outgoing and a positive face of customer service. Positions available at both mobile blood drives and our downtown and East End collection facilities.

Excellent customer service and telephone skills, a familiarity with computers and the ability to work a consistent schedule is preferred.
